Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) Policy

At FactR Limited (“FactR”, “we”, “us”, “our”), we are committed to complying with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (“CASL”) and ensuring responsible electronic communications. This CASL Policy explains how we manage commercial electronic messages (“CEMs”), and your rights regarding such messages.

1. What is CASL?

CASL governs the sending of commercial electronic messages, which include emails, text messages, and other electronic communications that encourage participation in a commercial activity. FactR complies by ensuring:

  • Consent is obtained before sending any CEMs

  • Communications clearly identify FactR as the sender

  • An easy and accessible unsubscribe mechanism is included

2. Consent to Receive Communications

FactR only sends CEMs when we have obtained valid consent:

  • Express Consent: You actively opted in to receive communications (e.g., account creation, newsletter subscription).

  • Implied Consent: You have an existing business relationship with FactR (e.g., trial user, customer, or previous inquiry).

You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting your access to our services.

3. Types of Communications

FactR may send communications regarding:

  • Account creation, authentication, and service usage

  • Product updates, feature announcements, and service improvements

  • Security notifications and administrative messages

  • Marketing or promotional content (only with consent)

Transactional communications necessary for service delivery may still be sent even if marketing messages are unsubscribed.

4. Unsubscribe Mechanism

Every CEM includes an unsubscribe link or instructions. Requests to opt out can also be made by contacting info@factr.me. Unsubscribe requests are processed promptly and in compliance with CASL.

5. Third-Party Communications

FactR does not sell or rent your contact information for marketing purposes. Where third-party service providers are used to deliver communications, they are contractually required to comply with privacy and anti-spam laws.

6. Policy Updates

We may update this CASL Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, or business practices. The “Last Revised” date indicates when changes were last made.

7. Related Policies and Contact

For questions about this policy or communications, contact info@factr.me.
